Our History
Upper Room Theological University (URTU) Online was established in 2020 after 25 years. Under the leadership of Chancellor Carrie Cameron, President, URTU made history as the first theological institution founded by an African American woman in the heart of Fayetteville, North Carolina
URTU was created to provide a spiritual and academic experience in theological studies while cultivating a personal encounter with Ruach HaKodesh (The Holy Spirit). URTU is committed to encouraging scholars who learn of Adonai by reading, studying, and meditating on His Word.
